Every year about this time I wonder if I should submit a screenplay for one of these fellowships (Oscar fellowships). And every year I decide that I don’t have anything worth submitting. Actually, that’s not entirely correct because I did enter one in high school (did not win, of course). But every year since when this deadline looms I think about it.
Technically I have until midnight May 1 to decide, but that’s cutting things a little short. Do I resurrect an old screenplay and re-work it? Start something new? Skip it and keep working on my current story?
